Jennifer Pappalardo, DPM

Dr. Pappalardo has built a career centered on clinical care, research, and academic medicine during her tenure at the University of Arizona’s Department of Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. She has consistently worked to advance the field of podiatric medicine and surgery, with a particular focus on multidisciplinary collaborations and innovative research initiatives. Through her work, she has partnered with the University of Arizona School of Anthropology to conduct ground breaking research. Her efforts have included the assessment of ancient footwear from biomechanical and structural perspectives, successfully bridging the fields of podiatry, anthropology, and archaeology, and earning her international recognition. Since arriving in Tucson, Arizona, in 2012, Dr. Pappalardo has remained deeply committed to outreach efforts, particularly within Native American populations of Southern Arizona. Through her research, volunteer work, and collaborations with national non-profit organizations, she has provided essential foot care, screenings, and shoe fittings to high-risk and underserved communities across the region.
