Hi, I’m Dr. Wendy Winckelbach, and some of my earliest childhood memories were of accompanying my father to visit inpatients at St. Francis in Beech Grove. Talk about take your daughter to work! I spent my teenage years working part time in his practice, and came to realize that I loved working with people and finding practical solutions to their healthcare needs.
I graduated from Center Grove and Indiana University (Go Hoosiers!) before receiving my Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine from Scholl College of Chicago, Illinois in 2001. After receiving my DPM, I completed a Post Graduate Surgical Residency at St. Mary’s Medical Center in Hobart, Indiana. I am board certified by the American Board of Foot and Ankle Surgeons in Foot Surgery. Currently I serve on staff at Franciscan and Community South Hospitals.
I am proud to be a third generation podiatrist and I am grateful I had the opportunity to practice with my father for over a decade before Dr. J K. Winckelbach retired. And I love working with patients of all ages and activity levels.
I live with my husband Kirk, three active sons, two labradors, and an assortment of chickens. I enjoy being outside with them or wandering around in my garden growing flowers and vegetables.
